ClinicalKey Student is a multi-purpose medical learning environment that allows students to Assess, Review, and Study in a single experience to build knowledge, confidence, and skills. The ClinicalKey Student Platform is part of the ClinicalKey family, which allows for seamless access from medical school to residency and clinical practice. It is an Elsevier clinical search engine that includes books, medical journals, images, videos, First Consult content, and much more.
ClinicalKey Student is a medical learning platform with books, videos, images, and quick access summaries. You can make revision flashcards and take and share notes. To gain access to content and personalized features, you must first register.

When you use Clinical Student, you will have access to the following resources:
- Invaluable textbooks covering medical specialties, including Gray’s Anatomy for Students and Medical Physiology
- Quick access summaries of common diseases
- Access to high-resolution images, unlocked and discoverable for visual learning
- Save Faculty and student time: Presentation maker tool
- Enhance lectures using copyright cleared images
- Access to videos ranging from practical demonstrations of anatomical dissections to instructional clinical examination examples
How to Log in to ClinicalKey Student
Upon registration, you’re an account is created for you with your email address and password. You can log in to ClinicalKey Student via:
- Your institution;
- Redeem a Registration ID; or
- OpenAthens

Log in via your institution
Follow the steps below to log in to ClinicalKey:
- Visit https://www.clinicalkey.com/student/login, you will be taken to the login page.
- Make sure you’re not using a shared device. This is to protect your information.
- On the right side of the login form, click on Log in via your institution.
- You may be able to log in using your Institution’s login credentials. To log in, search for your institution and click the name. This will take you to your university’s portal where you can login with your email account and password.
- Alternatively, select your institution’s region or group and click the name from the results shown to log in.

Log in via Redeeming a Registration ID
- Visit the login page [https://www.clinicalkey.com/student/login]
- Make sure you’re not using a shared device. This is to protect your information.
- On the right side of the login form, click on “Redeem a Registration ID”
- A new form will open. Enter your Registration ID and your Registration Password and click continue
- If you lost, misplaced, or can’t recall your Redistartion ID, you can contact your institution administrator for assistance with Registration ID.
